Kinesiology Tape
Using kinesio tape for pain relief from sports injuries has been a standard technique for many years. However, kinesio tape is not just for athletes. Though physio taping is widely used for extra support during physical activity, kinesiology tape also assists with pain management and rehabilitation for a variety of conditions. These conditions include:
- Inflammation
- Stiffness
- Bruising
- Arthritis
- General muscle fascia
- Tendon disorders or conditions
- Sports injuries
In the past, many athletes used to tape their joints or muscles to restrict movement, reduce pain and prevent further strain to a particularly tender area. Instead, this athletic sports tape is said to stabilise injured or weakened muscles, improve movement and can aid in recovery. Once applied, the tape pulls against the skin during movement, opening up the muscles to internal healing.
Our Ares kinesio tape is almost identical to human skin in terms of elasticity and thickness, making it ideal for athletes who are performing on a consistent, physical basis.
